Is Featureflip free to use?

Yes. The Free plan costs nothing, does not expire, and is built to run in production. It covers up to 3 team members, 1 project, 10 flags and 2 environments, which is enough to gate features across a staging and production setup. There is no credit card, no trial window and no hidden fee. Team is $49 a month ($39 billed annually) and moves you to 5 team members, 3 projects, 3 environments, unlimited flags, scheduled changes and 30-day audit logs. Pro is $99 a month ($79 annually) for 10 team members, 10 projects, 5 environments and flag owners. Business is $249 a month ($199 annually) and covers 25 team members, 25 projects, unlimited environments, 90-day audit logs and single sign-on through your own identity provider. Start on Free and upgrade when you're ready. Nothing needs migrating.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. Upgrading is instant — as soon as your payment processes, you get immediate access to the new plan's features, higher flag limits, additional projects, and increased team member seats. This means you can start a sprint on the Free plan and move up to Team mid-project without any disruption to your running flags or integrations. Downgrading works on a billing cycle basis: the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period, so you retain full access until then. Your flags and project data are preserved through any plan change — nothing is deleted automatically. If you downgrade below your current usage, you will be prompted to reduce flags or team members before the cycle ends to stay within the new plan limits.

What happens if I exceed my plan limits?

When you approach your plan's flag or project limits, Featureflip sends you a notification so you have time to act before hitting the ceiling. Existing flag evaluation continues to work without interruption — your users will not see any difference in behavior. The restriction only applies to creating new feature flags or new projects beyond what your plan allows. For example, if you are on the Free plan with its 10-flag limit and try to create an eleventh flag, the creation will be blocked until you either upgrade or delete an existing flag. This design ensures that shipping code is never impacted by billing limits. Upgrading your plan immediately removes the restriction, and you can create new flags right away. We recommend monitoring your usage from the project dashboard to stay ahead of limits before they affect your development workflow.

Do you offer annual billing?

Yes. Annual billing is available on every paid plan and saves about 20% against paying month by month. Team drops from $49 to $39 a month, which is $120 a year back. Pro drops from $99 to $79 ($240 a year), and Business from $249 to $199 ($600 a year). Annual billing makes sense once feature flags are a settled part of how you ship. You pay for the year upfront and the plan is active for the whole term straight away. You can switch from monthly to annual from your account settings at any time, and the change is prorated, so you only pay for the remaining value of the new term. If your subscription is on an older price, switching moves it to the current one.

I subscribed before the current prices. Will my bill change?

No. A subscription that started before the current prices keeps the price you signed up at, with everything the plan includes today. It moves to the current price only if you change plans or switch between monthly and annual billing. If you were on the old free Solo plan, you are now on Free, which allows three team members instead of one. You don't need to do anything.

What do the paid plans add besides more room?

Scheduled changes, cleanup emails, flag owners, and on Business, single sign-on. On Team, Pro and Business you can queue a flag change for a set time, such as turning a feature on for a launch at 9am or ending a promotion at midnight, and Featureflip applies it for you. Those plans also email your admins when a flag passes its expiry date or goes unused. Pro and Business add flag owners, so that cleanup email goes to the person who owns the flag instead of to every admin. When someone leaves, you pick who inherits their flags. Business also lets you sign in through your own identity provider over OIDC, such as Okta or Microsoft Entra ID, and require it for everyone in the organization. Everything else is on every plan, Free included: targeting rules, percentage rollouts, kill switches, all 13 SDKs, the Management API with the MCP server and Terraform provider on top of it, the audit log, two-factor authentication, Google and GitHub sign-in, stale-flag detection, automated flag removal, and flag expiry dates. Past that, the paid plans differ in team members, projects, environments, audit retention and support.

Can I manage feature flags as code?

Yes, on every plan, Free included. The Featureflip Terraform provider lets you declare projects, environments, flags, variations, segments, and per-environment targeting in .tf files and apply them through your existing pipeline, and it runs on the same public Management API the dashboard uses. There is no paid-tier requirement: you only need to be an organization admin to create the API token it authenticates with.

What happens to my flags if Featureflip goes down or shuts down?

Day to day, server SDKs hold your configuration in memory and evaluate it inside your own process, so an interruption on our side does not stop your app serving flags, and anything the SDK cannot resolve falls back to the defaults you passed in code. The longer-term worry is whether you can get your configuration out. You can. Every plan, Free included, comes with the public Management API, so you can pull every project, environment, flag, variation, segment, and targeting rule out over REST whenever you like. Going further, the Terraform provider keeps that configuration in your own version control as the source of truth. The SDKs are Apache 2.0 licensed, and the Node.js, .NET, Python, Go, Java, PHP and Ruby libraries run through OpenFeature, the CNCF vendor-neutral standard, so your call sites stay portable if you ever decide to move.

Is there an Enterprise plan?

Yes, Featureflip offers Enterprise pricing for organizations that need capabilities beyond what the Business plan provides. Enterprise is a custom arrangement tailored to your team's scale and requirements. Common reasons teams choose Enterprise include needing more than 25 projects, more than 25 team members, custom data retention policies beyond 90-day audit logs, a guaranteed service level agreement, a dedicated support contact, or on-premise deployment for environments where data cannot leave your own infrastructure. Google and GitHub sign-in are available on every plan, including Free, and Business adds single sign-on through your own identity provider over OIDC. Enterprise agreements add SAML/SCIM for enterprise identity providers, along with custom contract terms and volume discounts for large engineering organizations. The pricing is negotiated directly and depends on your usage profile and the specific features you need.
