  • Foundation (month-to-month) — $12 per service connection per month beyond the 5 included, plus $10 per 1,000 client-side MAU per month.
  • Enterprise — custom, quote-only. It adds code references, approval workflows, audit logging, custom roles, SCIM and more, above the Foundation figure. Guardian is an Enterprise add-on, priced separately.

How much does LaunchDarkly cost?
LaunchDarkly's paid Foundation plan is usage-based rather than a flat monthly fee. The first 5 service connections each month are included. On annual billing each additional server-side service connection is $10 per month, plus $8.33 per 1,000 client-side monthly active users per month. Month-to-month rates are higher, at $12 and $10. A free Developer tier covers small usage, up to 5 service connections and 1,000 client-side MAU. Enterprise is a custom, quote-only plan, and Guardian is an Enterprise add-on priced separately. Is LaunchDarkly still priced per seat?
No. LaunchDarkly moved off per-seat pricing to a usage-based model. The Foundation plan bills by service connections and client-side monthly active users, so the cost tracks your traffic and architecture rather than your headcount. That is why two teams of the same size can see very different LaunchDarkly bills.
How is this estimate calculated?
The calculator sets aside the 5 service connections Foundation includes each month, multiplies the rest and your client-side MAU by LaunchDarkly's published Foundation rates for the billing basis you pick, then annualizes. If your usage fits under the free Developer caps it returns zero. Featureflip's side is a flat price that does not change with connections or MAU. Every rate is sourced and dated on this page.
What does the calculator leave out?
It estimates Foundation's two main flag-related charges: service connections and client-side MAU. It does not include LaunchDarkly's AI runs, observability such as logs, traces and session replay, experimentation MAU, or any negotiated Enterprise or Guardian terms. If you use those products your real bill is higher, which only widens the gap against a flat plan.
