How much does ConfigCat cost?
ConfigCat's hosted plans are flat monthly tiers gated by product and network-traffic ceilings, with no annual-commit discount. Forever Free covers 2 products and 20GB/mo of traffic. Pro is $110 per month for 3 products and 100GB/mo. Smart is $325 per month for 10 products and 1TB/mo. Enterprise is $900 per month for roughly 1,000 products (a negotiable technical limit) and 4TB/mo. Rates were checked on July 24, 2026 from configcat.com/pricing.
What happens if I exceed my plan's product or traffic limit?
Nothing is billed automatically — ConfigCat charges no per-unit overage fee. Exceeding a hard cap on Free, Pro, or Smart requires upgrading to the next tier. Exceeding Enterprise's caps, or needing a private-cloud deployment, moves to the quote-only Dedicated plan. A few limits on the higher tiers (flags, environments) are marked as "technical limits" in ConfigCat's docs and are raised by contacting support rather than billed.
What forces an upgrade from Pro to Smart?
Either dimension alone: a 4th product, or crossing 100GB of monthly network traffic. Both of Pro's caps (3 products, 100GB/mo) have to hold for Pro to remain the right tier — going over on traffic forces Smart even while still within the product ceiling, and vice versa.
How is this estimate calculated?
The calculator checks your products and monthly network traffic against ConfigCat's Forever Free caps first, then the lowest paid tier (Pro, Smart, Enterprise) whose product and traffic ceilings both cover your usage. There is no per-unit overage to add — ConfigCat's paid tiers are flat regardless of usage under the cap. Featureflip's side is a flat price that does not change with project count or traffic. Every rate is sourced and dated on this page.
